"UP International Film Festival" to be held on the banks of Ganges !

National: Cinema is loved all over the world. Watching cinema from different countries help understand culture of different civilisations. Cinema related international film festivals take place all over the world for the very reason. India too doesn’t lack behind and quite a few International Film Festivals are being arranged in our country. Adding to existing International film festival a fresh, new film festival, "UP International Film Festival", is taking place. The aim behind organising this film festival is to give Expression of Freedom to those feature and short film makers who are deserving and unaware of procedural process.

India being culturally, traditionally and spiritually rich UPIFF is also be able to tap tourism aspect of UP, i.e. Uttar Pradesh. The said film festival is being held at Ganga ghats in holy city, Varanasi (Kashi) which is spread through three days. Starting on 28th february through 1st March 2020 UPIFF expects celebrities and dignitaries from all over the globe. A lot of famous celebrities of Bollywood have roots in UP and quite a few are planning to visit this festival. Festival organisers planning a tour to different temples around UP after the conclusion of festival.

Varanasi is a political constituency of the current Indian Prime Minister and if time permits he may join the festivities as the same will be held at Rajendra Prasad Ghat and Assi Ghat on the banks of holy Ganges. ‘It’s going to be an open air screening film festival, first of it’s kind in the entire world, which will be free of cost. UPIFF will have 44 categories for awards covering feature films, short films, animation films, web series, music videos, documentaries etc. which will have cash incentives with trophies. We have a learned panel of Jury which includes Shyam Benegal. We are getting support from local authorities and the government, for which we are grateful. In the coming years it is expected to grow and will be the most sought after International Film festivals’ expressed Chief Festival Director Krishna Mishra.

"UP International Film Festival" will be held between '28th February 2020 to 1st March 2020' and interested film makers can send their entries on www.upinternationalfilmfestival.com. And the festival’s motto is come and enjoy the World Cinema in Varanasi (Kashi).
