Longines unveils the HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games Watch

 

New Delhi: The 'HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games' watches have been launched in India by "Longines". At The Imperial Hotel in Janpath, acclaimed Actor & Longines Friend of the Brand Vikrant Massey and Ace Swimmer, Sajan Prakash introduced the watch. In commemoration of the upcoming 'Commonwealth Games' in Birmingham in 2022, the launch featured a combination of technical watch-making knowledge and world-class design.

"Longines" and the 'Commonwealth Games' have a long history, dating back to the 1962 Games in Perth (Australia). The 2014 edition was held in Glasgow (Scotland), and the 2018 edition was held in Gold Coast (Australia). The completion of a historic collaboration in 2020 marked a new milestone, with the brand continuing to apply its timekeeping expertise in 2022, 2026, and 2030 Games.

The timepieces in this range stand out for their daring design, which is inspired by diving rules and aimed at hard-core athletes. Water resistance to 300 meters, a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown and case back, and a double security folding clasp with an incorporated diving extension piece all contribute to the watches' style.

The vibrant colors of the event logo are prominently shown on the black ceramic bezel of the HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games watch, as well as on the minute track of the black sunray dial. It's 41 mm steel casing houses an innovative self-winding movement with a silicon balance spring for increased precision and longevity. Longines can offer a 5-year warranty on this watch because of these features, which further boost high-level performance. The case back is etched with the Birmingham 2022 emblem and "Limited Edition - 1 out of 2022" to emphasize the model's uniqueness.
