Waheeda Rehman, Shaina NC & Jacqueline Fernandez walks for IHCL's initiative 'She Remains The Taj'

 

MUMBAI: With Indian Fashion holding center stage globally, the "She Remains The Taj" initiative under IHCL's iconic brand, Taj, hosted ‘Walk For A Cause’, an exclusive showcase of ensembles curated uniquely for the cause of supporting 'VCare Foundation', by the noted Indian fashion designer Shaina NC. This event not only honours the colossal contribution of rural artisans to Indian Fashion but also celebrates women achievers who pave their path, are fearless, free-spirited, bold, and are always on the move.

'She Remains The Taj' was founded to develop a comprehensive framework of women-centric activities as well as support women-led enterprises and partners. 'Walk For A Cause', by Shaina NC, not only highlighted women achievers but also addressed an essential issue by bringing to light the unsung contribution of rural weavers and craftsmen to the famed Indian Fashion as part of a bigger community outreach. Stars of substance such as Jacqueline Fernandez and Waheeda Rehman were in attendance to support the fantastic endeavour in Taj Land End, Mumbai.

Known for her beautiful saree designs, Shaina NC is a master drapist amongst her many achievements, with the skill set to drape a saree in 54 different ways. The ecstatic evening also saw women achievers such as Anjali Mukerjee, a top celebrity nutritionist, IAS Sonal Goel, and Dr. Rishima Pai, who stunned many by walking the ramp.
