Mumbai: Kerala's tourism potential, cultural diversity, and taste diversity were introduced to Mumbai by the "Leela Raviz Group". In a spectacular event held at the Leela Hotel, Mumbai, Leela Raviz Group presented Kerala's tourism destinations, festivals, and food varieties to the invited guests of Mumbai.
Cultural activities and tastes were introduced by dividing the state into three regions, namely North Kerala, Central Kerala, and South Kerala. "Puli Kali", where oversized men paint the face of a tiger in their big bellies and dance to the music of chendamelam, literally attracted the crowd, which included specially invited guests from even the United States of America.
Video stories describing the specialties of the tourist areas of the state and the unique steps taken by Raviz Group Hotels were played. "Oppana", the special dance performed in Muslim households during marriages; "Margam Kali", another dance form performed in Christian households; and "Mohini Attam", a Hindu dance form performed in temples and gatherings, were the highlights. Raviz Group Vice President Ashish Nair welcomed the guests.
