A golden Sihansan made for Sri Sai Baba in Thane

 

Thane: This year marks the 37th anniversary of the Sri Saibaba Temple at Vartaknagar in Thane, which is known as ‘Pratishirdi’ for Thanekars. On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the temple, ‘Sri Sai Seva Samiti’ has organized various programs for three days, from 5th December to 7th December. Around lakh d evotees will take darshan and benefit from the program and the establishment of the golden throne will be duly established on this occasion, founder president of the committee and former corporator Baliram Naibagkar informed in the press conference. On this occasion, committee vice presidents Ashok Surve and Ashok Hiranandani, treasurer Baban Bobde, secretary Suresh Mahadik, deputy secretary Vikas Zagde, working president Mangesh Naibagkar, trustee Hari Mali, Aparna Jadhav, Praveen Rothe, trustee Nand Kumar Salvi and other dignitaries were present.

This temple was established in 1986 in Vartaknagar by Baliram Naibagkar and some of his associates. The journey from a small space of 3 by 3 ft to the present huge temple is a symbol of the hard work and faith of the founder Baliram Naibagkar. On the demand of Sai devotees, the organization has started the work of plating the silver throne of Shri Sai Baba with gold. The anniversary celebration will be started by decorating Shri Saibaba's Sihansan and Shri Saibaba's gabhara with gold. Naibagkar also said.

About the Golden Throne:

Inauguration of this golden throne installation and dedication ceremony was inaugurated by the founder president Mr. Baliram Naibagkar (Hon. Municipal Corporation) and the advisor of the organization Hon. MLA. Mr. Sanjayji Kelkar Saheb (BJP MLA, Thane City).

President Sri Baliram Naibagkar said, "The devotees had expressed their desire to us several times to have a golden throne for Sai. According to them, we appealed. To which the devotees responded. 1 gram and more gold was donated by everyone. And from that this golden throne was realized.

Every year, lakhs of devotees throng here for the anniversary event. The anniversary celebration has become a celebration of Thane. In the last four decades, this trust has conducted a large number of social and cultural programs along with religious programs. This trust has done valuable work in the field of health and activities are being implemented throughout the year.
