Mumbai: 'South Seas Distilleries' and 'Breweries Private Limited', a legacy Alcobev company, is gearing up to launch "Crazy Cock", its premier direct-to-consumer/retail whisky brand. Paying homage to the mythical rooster adorned with a monocle, the brand marks a new era for Indian whiskies, celebrating the flavors of the Indian subcontinent for whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

The introduction of 'Crazy Cock' represents a pinnacle in the company's established legacy of perfecting single malt whiskies. This exceptional single malt is meticulously crafted from 6-row Indian barley, carefully selected from the pristine plains of North India. The traditional method of malting and distillation in copper pots results in a luxurious blend of delicate notes and a harmonious mix of subtle aromas. The whisky undergoes maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, offering a full-bodied, complex flavor profile. Specially smoked batches add a rich, peaty dimension reserved for "Crazy Cock Dhua". Each eclectic single malt, chosen by the master blender, ensures perfection in small batches, providing a genuine and unadulterated drinking experience for enthusiasts.

"Crazy Cock" Single Malt Whisky will be available in two expressions:

Rare - Aged in Double Oak:
A full-bodied, rare, and exquisite single malt whisky matured to perfection in two imported oak casks—bourbon casks and sherry casks. This exceptional whisky seamlessly fuses the characteristics of both casks, resulting in enhanced viscosity for a truly indulgent experience. The deep amber color sets the stage for a captivating nose featuring floral notes, honey, pears, chocolate, raisin, cinnamon, spices, vanilla, and oak. On the palate, robust spicy notes harmonize with summer fruits, raisins, and a smooth texture. The finish lingers, inviting a celebration of this extraordinary creation.

Dhua - The Peated One:
'Dhua', meaning smoke, is a rich, full-bodied, mildly peated, rare, and exquisite single malt aged in imported bourbon and rare sherry casks. The master blender skillfully crafts this whisky using peated malts of great age and mellowness, achieving a perfectly balanced whisky. The deep antique gold color liquid blends gentle peat and smoke with warm notes of raisin, dark chocolate, spicy cinnamon, vanilla, and mandarin on the nose. The palate delights in smoke-laced spice, raisins, and a touch of cinnamon, culminating in a warm and lingering finish—a true masterpiece.
