Varsha Rane of Atharv Foundation Hosts Grand Inauguration of Borivali Art Festival, Celebrating Creativity and Culture

 

Mumbai: “The Borivali Art Festival”, organized by the ‘Borivali Sports and Cultural Association’ in collaboration with the ‘Atharv Foundation’, is a celebration of indigenous culture and artistic talent. Inaugurated on February 22nd, the festival will run until February 25th, 2024, at the Village Art and Culture Center, Shimpoli Village, Borivali West, Mumbai.

The opening ceremony, graced by Borivali MLA Mr. Sunil Rane, along with Varsha Rane and Praveen Shah, commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the national anthem and the Maharashtra state song. The festival commenced with a vibrant Ganesh Vandana.

Mr. Sunil Rane emphasized the importance of organizing such cultural events in Borivali, a land known for its rich cultural heritage. He highlighted the festival's aim to showcase diverse traditions, nurture artistic talents, and provide a platform for artists to exhibit their skills. The festival includes music performances, dance, art exhibitions, and traditional handicrafts, fostering community development and cultural enrichment.

Drawing inspiration from his experiences at the JJ School of Arts, Mr. Rane expressed his joy in inaugurating the 'Borivali Art Festival', welcoming artists and enthusiasts to celebrate their love for art. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in popularizing khadi, benefiting women engaged in weaving and embroidery.

‘The Borivali Art Festival’ features a diverse array of cultural programs, including sculpture, painting, workshops, talk shows, dramas, and various forms of music and dance. The festival invites all art lovers to participate and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of creativity and cultural exchange.

Varsha Rane, associated with the ‘Atharv Foundation’, applauded the event's beautiful commencement, attributing the village's rich artistic imagination to Mr. Sunil Rane. She commended the performances of students, children, and artists, emphasizing the importance of encouraging and nurturing artistic talent in society.
