Bajaj Group launches ₹5,000 crore fund for Varied CSR Initiatives with unveiling of 'Bajaj Beyond' Program

 

MUMBAI: “Bajaj Group” will provide funds of Rs.5,000 crores for social welfare activities in the next five years. Under the group's new division 'Bajaj Beyond', launched for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and philanthropic programmes, the focus will be on skill development. This will benefit more than 2 crore youth in the future and empower them to take advantage of the employment and industry opportunities that India's growing economy will provide.

Commenting on these initiatives, Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director, of Bajaj Electricals Limited said, "Our initiatives have had a transformative impact in empowering the youth of India. Today we are unveiling 'Bajaj Beyond'. Our mission is to equip the future generation with the tools they need to succeed. We're going to continue through this." Commenting on this initiative, Neeraj Bajaj, Chairman, of Bajaj Auto Ltd said, “As a pike of Bajaj's legacy, we are aware of our responsibility to give back to society.

A sense of social responsibility has been ingrained in the Bajaj Group's businesses and their philanthropic efforts for generations. In the last 10 years alone, the Bajaj Group has contributed around Rs.4,000 crore towards CSR activities. Most of these initiatives focused on skills and education, health, livelihoods, water conservation, and other areas of development.

Humanitarian activities are implemented by Bajaj Group through various organizations. It includes Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation, Jankidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha, Kamalanayan Bajaj Hospital etc. These organizations are working tirelessly for the upliftment and empowerment of communities. Bajaj Engineering Skills Training, (BEST), Banking, Finance and Insurance of Bajaj Finserv Limited, Bajaj Water Conservation Project, 'Hamara Sapna' an initiative of Jamnalal Bajaj Trust are various major CSR initiatives of Bajaj Group.
