GJEPC's Prestigious IIJS 2024 Begins at JIO World with Star-Studded Inauguration

 

Mumbai: JIO World Convention Centre is buzzing with excitement as the 40th edition of the “India International Jewellery Show” (IIJS) Premiere 2024 kicks off. The prestigious event, organized by the ‘Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council’ (GJEPC), features over 3,600 stalls and 2,100 exhibitors from around the globe, showcasing a vast array of exquisite jewellery.

Inaugurated by Hon. Governor of Maharashtra Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, and graced by Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Hon. Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the show marks a significant milestone in India’s jewellery sector. The IIJS Premiere 2024, themed “Brilliant Bharat”, runs from August 8-12 at JIO World Convention Centre and August 9-13 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO Goregaon.

With an exhibition area of 135,000 sq. mt., IIJS Premiere is set to attract over 50,000 buyers from India and 2,000 international buyers. A special highlight is The Select Club, showcasing high-end couture jewellery by 101 select exhibitors.

Prominent figures such as Mr. Paul Rowley of De Beers Group and Former Miss World Ms. Manushi Chhillar, GJEPC's brand ambassador, lent their presence to the event, underscoring India’s pivotal role in the global jewellery industry. The show also emphasizes sustainability and innovation, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and showcasing technological advancements.

GJEPC Chairman Vipul Shah expressed enthusiasm for the show’s scale and impact, while Hon. Governor Shri Radhakrishnan lauded GJEPC for elevating India’s jewellery sector on the global stage. The event continues to be a testament to India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship in the world of jewellery.
