Taiwan Excellence Empowers India's Leap into Automation

 

Mumbai: The “Taiwan Excellence” pavilion at the 'Automation Expo 2024', held from August 21st to 24th at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai, garnered significant attention with its display of cutting-edge advancements in factory automation. This year’s pavilion featured innovations from 17 leading Taiwanese brands specializing in Machinery, Automation, Equipment & Components, Industrial PCs, and IoT devices.

The event included a special product launch session, "Together for Automation Excellence",  where top brands such as Advantech, HIWIN, Jumbo Laser, Mean Well, and Planet unveiled their latest solutions. The highlights included the Modular TPC Series, eco-friendly solutions, advancements in robotic automation, and cutting-edge power supplies. Experts from these companies engaged with attendees, discussing how smart automation technologies can revolutionize manufacturing processes and contribute to the development of smart factories.

Taiwan’s commitment to digital and sustainable manufacturing was a key focus. Homer Chang, Director General of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Centre, emphasized Taiwan’s role in supporting India’s automation needs. “Taiwanese automation and machinery solutions offer a perfect blend of digitization, customization, and affordability,” Chang stated. “By integrating AI, robotic vision, and IoT, our companies are driving intelligent and efficient manufacturing. Taiwan can be a strategic partner in India’s industrial transformation”.

The strong economic ties between Taiwan and India were underscored by the impressive growth in Taiwan’s exports to India, which saw a 28.1% increase from January to May 2024. Notably, chip exports surged by 49.4%, representing over 36% of Taiwan’s total exports to India, reflecting India’s growing reliance on Taiwanese technology.

The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcased products from top Taiwanese brands, including AAEON, Advantech, APLEX, C&T, Hiwin, ICP DAS, KANFON, KSS, Main Drive, Mean Well, PLANET, Syntec (Leantec, Jumbo Laser), Techman Robot, Toyo Robot, Unitec, and Winmate. This event highlighted Taiwan's dedication to innovation and collaboration with India's manufacturing sector. As India continues to establish itself as a global manufacturing hub, the partnership between Taiwan and India is expected to drive mutual growth and development.
