Canon India Showcases Expansive, Immersive Booth at Broadcast India 2024

 

Mumbai: “Canon India”, a leading provider of digital imaging solutions, showcased its commitment to the videography and broadcasting sectors at the 33rd edition of the ‘Broadcast India Show 2024’ held at the Jio World Convention Centre. The event serves as a dynamic platform for industry professionals to connect and explore global innovations in infotainment technology.

'Canon’ presented an extensive ecosystem of imaging solutions, including cinema cameras, professional video equipment, mirrorless systems, and a wide range of RF and Cine lenses. Key innovations included:

  • EOS C80 and EOS C400: Newly launched cinema cameras designed for high-end productions. The EOS C80 features a 6K full-frame sensor, while the C400 is optimized for live events, providing superior visual quality.
  • EOS R Series: Highlights included the EOS R1, aimed at action photography, and the EOS R5 Mark II, which supports 8K RAW recording, enhancing video and photography workflows.
  • Remote Solutions: Canon's booth featured the RC-IP1000 remote camera controller and various PTZ cameras tailored for broadcast and corporate applications.

The inauguration featured National Award-winning cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee, known for his work in films like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Chak De India, alongside renowned director Hanu Raghavapudi, celebrated for his film Sita Ramam.

Canon created several interactive zones that allowed attendees to engage with their technology in real-world scenarios:

  • Virtual Event Zone: Showcased VR technology integration.
  • Cinema EOS Zone: A thematic setup that highlighted Canon's image quality.
  • EOS R System Zone: Demonstrated filmmaking features in a grand setting.
  • Low-Light Zone: Allowed visitors to test low-light capabilities of Canon cameras.


Mr. Toshiaki Nomura, President & CEO of Canon India, emphasized the company’s video-first strategy, stating, “Our participation at the 'Broadcast India Show 2024' underscores our commitment to innovative, end-to-end imaging solutions that cater to the growing demands of the video industry.” He highlighted the successful launch of the 'EOS C80' and 'C400' as setting new standards for quality and versatility.

“Canon India” also showcased products from its Canon North Star alliance, which includes industry-leading solutions from partners like Aputure, Sennheiser, Atomos, EIZO, and Mo-SYS. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for creators, enhancing studio setups with integrated solutions.

Additionally, the booth hosted technical sessions led by Canon Masters and North Star experts, providing insights into the latest technology and workflows for cinema and broadcast professionals.
