MUMBAI: The much-anticipated 30th anniversary edition of LED Expo New Delhi 2025 is gearing up to become a landmark moment for India’s lighting industry. Scheduled from November 27 to 29, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, the event is poised to present the largest and most transformative showcase of LED and smart lighting technologies in its history. Organized by Messe Frankfurt, the Expo continues to be the country’s most influential platform for lighting manufacturers, innovators, buyers, and policy makers.
This milestone edition promises an expansive display with over 250 exhibitors, including 75 first-time participants, collectively presenting more than 6,000 products and 2,000 brands. With three decades of growth behind it, the LED Expo is dedicating its 2025 edition to celebrating innovation, sustainability, and industry collaboration—factors that have propelled India’s massive transition toward smarter, greener, and energy-efficient lighting solutions.
Since its inception, LED Expo has mirrored the evolution of India’s lighting landscape—from early energy-saving lamps to advanced LED modules, and now AI-driven smart lighting ecosystems. Over 30 years, the fair has grown into a critical business and knowledge forum enabling domestic and international brands to connect, collaborate, and contribute to India’s vision of energy-efficient infrastructure.
The 2025 edition will spotlight emerging categories that are reshaping consumer and industrial demand, including smart home lighting, architectural and decorative lighting, solar-powered luminaires, connected IoT-enabled systems, outdoor and façade lighting, and high-efficiency industrial LEDs. Exhibitors are expected to unveil next-generation prototypes and commercially viable solutions designed to support India’s sustainability commitments and the expanding smart cities ecosystem.
Highlighting the rapid progression of the sector, Mr. Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd., stated: “The LED lighting industry in India has shown an extremely positive trend over the last few years with growing applications. This Expo presents a major opportunity for the industry to witness how domestic innovators are successfully addressing challenges and diversifying, as well as to forge strong commercial ties.”
Mr. Manek further emphasized India’s unique position in the global lighting value chain: “The government is also supporting the industry with schemes like the PLI for ‘White Goods’. With the surge in decorative lights, smart lighting, solar lights, and electrical products, this is the opportune time for the LED lighting industry. The nature of LED lighting has evolved from mere illumination to defining the ambience and aesthetics of modern spaces.”
Beyond the product showcase, LED Expo New Delhi 2025 will also host knowledge sessions, buyer–seller meetings, policy dialogues, and expert-led workshops. These engagements will focus on accelerating India’s domestic manufacturing capabilities, promoting R&D, and addressing challenges such as supply chain standardization, energy regulations, export competitiveness, and the growing need for environmentally responsible lighting technologies.
Industry leaders note that the anniversary edition comes at a critical moment, with LED adoption expanding across residential, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure segments. Demand has surged for integrated smart lighting that combines efficiency, aesthetics, safety, and user-centric design—creating new growth avenues for manufacturers, solution providers, and component makers.
As the countdown begins, expectations are high that LED Expo New Delhi 2025 will set new benchmarks for innovation, business networking, and industry direction. With India emerging as a global hub for sustainable lighting solutions, this landmark 30th anniversary edition is set to strengthen the momentum for a future-driven, energy-efficient, and technologically advanced lighting industry.
