With admissions now open for the 2026 academic session, the university has highlighted its impressive placement record, global collaborations, and advanced infrastructure that continue to attract aspiring fashion professionals from across the country.
The School of Fashion Design offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including B.Design (Fashion), B.Sc. Fashion Design, B.F.Tech (Apparel Production), M.Sc. Fashion Design, and Master of Fashion Management. LPU's placement performance has been a major highlight, with the highest salary package touching ₹18 lakh per annum and the average package for the top 10 percent of students reaching ₹11.4 lakh per annum. Notable placements include Anusha Chenichery and Sweety Dutta securing positions with Trident at ₹18 LPA, while Dikhsha Khetan joined Trident Limited at ₹12 LPA. Another student, Silpa K.S., secured a placement with global sportswear giant Nike. More than 70 recruiters, including Nike, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Reliance, Arvind, Trident, and Shoppers Stop, regularly hire from the institution.
The university places strong emphasis on experiential learning through internships, live industry projects, design competitions, workshops, certifications, and collaborations with leading fashion brands. Students regularly participate in prestigious events such as Lakmé Fashion Week, FDCI collaborations, and Chandigarh Times Lifestyle Fashion Week, gaining valuable exposure to the fashion industry's creative and commercial aspects.
Further strengthening its academic credentials, the School of Fashion Design has received a ₹6 crore grant under the National Technical Textile Mission from the Ministry of Textiles.
