Signify Installs EcoLink BLDC Fans Across Lalbaugcha Raja Mandap, Queue Areas

Mumbai: 'Signify', a global leader in lighting, is bringing its energy-efficient fan technology to Lalbaugcha Raja this Ganesh Chaturthi, with the installation of EcoLink Airflow fans across the mandap and darshan queue areas. The initiative is aimed at making the darshan experience more comfortable for devotees who spend considerable time waiting amid large crowds.

Lalbaugcha Raja attracts devotees from Mumbai as well as several parts of the country during the 10-day Ganesh festival. With long queues and large gatherings being an integral part of the darshan experience, Signify said the deployment of its EcoLink fans is designed to provide a cooler and more refreshing environment for visitors.

The installation features four EcoLink fan models — AeroJewel, AeroTrio, AeroCrystal and AeroQuad 3B. The fans use Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) technology, which, according to Signify, can deliver up to 50% energy savings compared with conventional induction-motor fans that generally consume 75–80 watts.

During the 10-day festival, the fans will operate around the clock and are estimated to consume approximately 4,200 units of electricity. The company said the large-scale deployment of energy-efficient cooling technology at a public venue is intended to combine visitor comfort with greater awareness of energy conservation.

Nikhil Gupta, Head – Strategy and Marketing, Signify Greater India, said Ganesh Chaturthi brings people together in large numbers and provides an opportunity to bring the company’s innovation to life. He said Signify aims to introduce energy-efficient cooling through EcoLink at Lalbaugcha Raja while making the darshan journey more comfortable for devotees.

Beyond the fan installations, EcoLink will have a visible presence across the Lalbaugcha Raja venue through large hoardings, drop-downs, liliputs and other branding elements. These touchpoints will highlight the brand’s energy-efficient cooling proposition across the mandap and queue areas.

'Signify' is also taking the EcoLink experience beyond the venue. Handheld fans will be available for visitors to purchase, giving devotees an opportunity to take the cooling solution home.

As part of its on-ground engagement, the company will also organise an interactive activity inviting visitors to test how loudly they can cheer for “Hawa Ka Raja EcoLink.” Participants will get an opportunity to win attractive gifts, adding an experiential element to the brand’s presence during the festival.

Through the initiative, 'Signify' is positioning EcoLink within one of Mumbai's largest annual religious gatherings while showcasing BLDC-based fan technology as an energy-efficient cooling option for high-footfall environments.
