Mumbai: “CREDAI-MCHI”, the apex body of real estate developers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), has announced its first-ever exhibition titled “Ease of Doing Redevelopment” (EODR), set to take place on 28th September 2024 at the Jio Convention Centre, Jasmine Hall, from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. This groundbreaking initiative is designed to streamline the redevelopment process for housing societies across Mumbai by connecting them with leading developers and Project Management Consultants (PMCs), offering a unique platform to discuss redevelopment options.
The exhibition is supported by key government bodies, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), and the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), all of which are instrumental in the city’s redevelopment landscape. By simplifying the complex procedures of redevelopment, the EODR exhibition aims to address both the challenges and opportunities for housing societies, contributing to Mumbai’s urban renewal and sustainable growth.
Mr. Domnic Romell, President of CREDAI-MCHI, emphasized the exhibition’s role in simplifying the redevelopment process for housing societies and highlighted CREDAI-MCHI’s commitment to transforming the city’s skyline. Mr. Dhaval Ajmera, Secretary of CREDAI-MCHI, reinforced the need to modernize Mumbai’s aging infrastructure, and Mr. Raajesh Prajapati, Chairman - PR & Communications, CREDAI-MCHI, stated that the exhibition would address core challenges by connecting societies directly with developers and experts.
The EODR exhibition will feature over 40 prominent developers such as Rustomjee, Adani, Kolte Patil, Puravankara, Raymond Realty, Kalpataru Limited, and The Ashar Group, among others, creating a one-stop solution for over 500 housing societies already registered. Housing societies interested in redevelopment can register at www.redevelopingmumbai.com.
Key dignitaries, including Shri Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Shri Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Ministers, and other high-ranking officials, will grace the event, emphasizing the significance of the initiative in Mumbai’s redevelopment efforts.
The redevelopment market in Mumbai is valued at over ₹30,000 crore, with significant activity in neighborhoods such as Dadar, Bandra, Worli, Vile Parle, and Malabar Hill. This exhibition marks a major milestone in addressing Mumbai’s space constraints through vertical expansion, with over 3,500 redevelopment projects approved by May 2024.
