Mumbai: “The Jain International Trade Organization” (JITO) commemorated 18 years of its impactful journey through the grand ‘Abhaar’ (Thanksgiving) Program, inaugurated by Maharashtra's Governor, Hon’ble CP Radhakrishnan. The event, held in Mumbai, brought together distinguished dignitaries, business leaders, philanthropists, and JITO members, marking a milestone in the organization’s legacy of fostering education, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
One of the event's key highlights was the collective donation of ₹63.18 Crore by 117 JITO members towards the 'JITO Education Assistance Program' (JEAP), aimed at providing financial aid to deserving students. Since its inception, JEAP has supported numerous students in accessing quality education, nurturing the next generation of leaders within the Jain community and beyond. This donation will further JEAP's mission to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder the educational aspirations of meritorious students.
Governor CP Radhakrishnan praised JITO for its contributions to education, industry, and social causes, and emphasized the organization's role in India's nation-building efforts. He lauded JITO's initiatives, particularly in skill development and entrepreneurship, as being aligned with the country’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous future.
Since its establishment, 'JITO' has empowered individuals through key programs such as the 'JITO Education Assistance Program' (JEAP), 'JITO Incubation & Innovation Foundation' (JIIF), and the 'JITO Administrative Training Foundation' (JATF). These initiatives have helped create opportunities for thousands to achieve academic and professional success, contributing to economic growth and social progress.
As 'JITO' celebrates its 18-year journey, it remains committed to uplifting society through economic empowerment, seva (service), and knowledge, continuing to shape a brighter future for both the community and the nation.
