MCES Maharashtra: Pioneering Summit Blending Spirituality, Culture, and Economic Growth

 

Mumbai: “The Maitri Cultural Economy Summit (MCES) Maharashtra” conference, organized by the ‘MaitriBodh Parivaar’, brought together over 200 dignitaries and experts at the Taj President, Mumbai, to discuss the unique intersection of spirituality, culture, and economic growth. This one-of-a-kind summit aimed to highlight how spiritual and cultural values can play a crucial role in driving economic prosperity.

Maitreya Dadashreeji, founder of MaitriBodh Parivaar and visionary behind the summit, emphasized the broader purpose behind the gathering: "This is just the beginning.  The true essence of spiritual and divine purpose is yet to be fully understood by India and the world. A great change is coming, and today, we begin this journey for the well-being of India and the world. When India unites, its progress will be unstoppable, and we will lead as a true Vishwaguru".

Prominent figures such as Shri Rahul Narwekar (Hon’ Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly), Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe (President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations), Shri Balasaheb Thorat (Member of Maharashtra Assembly), and Shri Arvind Sawant (Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha) discussed the integration of growth and cultural values, underscoring how such efforts can strengthen India's economic standing.

The summit featured technical sessions by industry experts, economists, and cultural anthropologists on topics like Temple and Festival Economics, Art, Theatre & Film Economics, and Agricultural Economics, focusing on strategies to bolster Maharashtra's economy through cultural and spiritual approaches.

Shri Gopal Krishna Agarwal, National Spokesperson for Economic Affairs (BJP) and Patron of MCES, noted the significance of focusing on data-driven models that assess the impact of culture on the economy, stating: "This exercise of collecting and analyzing data will be essential for creating policies that bring positive change at the grassroots level."
